Creating the home you love is my heart’s desire.
It all started when I was about 8 years old. My father took me to The Merchandise Mart when he bought furniture for his store. I learned how furniture was made, about the different woods and finishes, the styles, fabrics, patterns and colors.
In my 8 year-old world, I would create rooms in our basement with cast-off furniture and carpet samples. Family occasions became opportunities to rearrange the furniture, which was (and still is) my favorite sport. And, more often than not, waiting for a friend for a movie date would end up a home makeover instead.
After a 25-year career in marketing, and office and personnel management, I left the corporate arena to embrace my new business. Then a friend told me about Oprah’s nationwide contest for people who designed special rooms and encouraged me to enter. Low and behold, Oprah announced me one of 30 winners (out of 12,000 entries) to appear on her show. Soon thereafter my work was featured in The Daily Herald, The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times, Bedrooms and Baths, and Chicago Home Magazine.
Then The 10 O'Clock News on Channel 2 ran a special showing my One-Day Home Makeoversm, a unique service I developed over the past 20 years. This service incorporates Feng Shui principles to transform your entire home in just one day by making the most of what you already have.
So that's my story about doing what I love to do. I welcome the opportunity to design your home exactly the way you want it. It is my heart's desire to help you create the home of your dreams.
